Remember what summer meant to you when you were a child? It meant no more school, no more homework, and no more teachers! It meant summer vacations, sleeping in and staying up late. Summer was that magical time when all your worries just floated away!

Well, it’s summertime and what does that mean to you as an adult? In some cases, it can mean extra stress! This week on the Creating Your Masterpiece Show podcast, Jen and Leah share with you their 4 tips for how you can enjoy your summer and become re-energized for the second half of the year!

1. Re-Evaluate – Take a look at the first six months of the year. Did you get everything done that you had planned? Were there specific goals you wanted to achieve. Re-evaluate those first six months, and see how far you got.

2. Re-Invent – When you were a child, you probably spent some of your summer at camp. The fun thing about camp was that you got to learn new skills and have new experiences! What is something that you want to do for yourself this summer? This is the perfect time to take up a new hobby, read that book you’ve been promising yourself you would read, or even make time to go to an art exhibit or museum!

3. Re-Focus – What are your priorities in life? What is really important to YOU? Are you making time to do these things? When we re-focus, we are taking a look inward at what is working in our lives and what might need a little help! We call this Visualizing Your Success. Take a look at all areas of your life, and write down what your definition of success is for each area, and then come up with an action plan to make it happen!

4. Re-Charge – Lastly, but certainly not least, you should be sure to carve out some time just for you. It’s been a busy year, the economy has been tough, you are probably a little stressed out. Now more than ever it is important to re-charge YOUR battery to insure you have enough power to make it through the end of the year!

Enjoy your summer!
